Middle East Film & Comic Con 2017 (MEFCC) : Day 2
Got the 3-day VIP pass to this year’s ComicCon because I am hyped AF and it’s my first time attending a ComicCon LIKE THIS. Wish I had time to prepare my costume with Drew but we’ll make sure to get started with sewing 6 months prior by next year. In all honesty, I really, really, really, really want to go as 2016 Wonder Woman.
Here are loads of photos and videos I took during Day 2 of this year’s MEFCC!
I wasn’t able to go on Thursday (which was the First Day), because I usually prefer to laze around the Apartment after work, but I made sure I was up early on Friday morning to be one of the first there!
You should be able to tell how early I was …
Dragged my college friend PEEPO with me!
BOOTHS
I think it’s miraculous that I was able to stop myself from spending whatever is left of my money from the Artists during this year’s ComicCon. We were surrounded by talented, talented people. MashaAllah.
The Artists’ Alleys
Jon-Paul Kaiser mostly works on Munnies by Kid Robot. I MEAN CHECK OUT THAT HUGE B&W SKULL MUNNY I AM HEAD OVER HEELS IN LOVE WITH.

Three of the Maids from the Akihabara Maidreamin Cafe in Tokyo had a booth too, I lurked around their space for a good 5-minutes because I wanted to feel like I was in Tokyo for a moment. They bring that Tokyo vibe everywhere they go, don’t they?
Mansi Parmar draws these super cute characters and cute pins, too!!!

This booth had original Totoro, Princess Sarah and Ippo prints for sale.
Thiago Provin
Thiago Provin molds these characters and his business partner works on the painting / coloring. I love it when they do their actual work during the ComicCon – it’s so inspiring.

Bana Sakhnini’s unfinished style of drawing isn’t new, but it is special. See that illustration of a freckled girl? BEAUTIFUL. I want it!

I probably went around 3 times to get a sneaky photo of Otto Scmidt’s booth … and Otto Scmidt himself. He’s one of DC Comics’ artists and has illustrated some of The Green Arrow Covers, such as these.
OMG you guys. OMG. Long Vo. Long Vo, you guys. LONG VO.
I wanted to give Guy Gilchrist a hug (he’s not in this photo though) for drawing most of my favorite characters as a child.

Claudia Ibrahim’s art is too pretty. I would ask her what the arabic word are but I was so shy! Look at that Cat sticker! CUTE!

Fatma Sahem’s illustrations made me want to stand in front of her booth for hours. I wish I wasn’t broke, would’ve bought so much of her art. I mean, look at those drawings (and that tote bag I was lusting over so bad!).

Marwa Elgendie’s work does the same to me. If only it wasn’t creepy, I’d watch her paint all day. I’ll probably request for commission art someday soon! GAAAH.

COSPLAYERS
I wasn’t able to take much photos of the Cosplayers I saw (I was shy AF), and apparently, most of them were at the Outdoor area! BOO, ABBIE. I did manage to get some rad ones, though!
If this doesn’t make you gush …
My heart literally SKIPPED A BEAT WHEN I SAW JAX BECAUSE I LOVE JAX AND NOW I MISS PLAYING LOL
Oh you know, just two Melissandres, nbd
Lois and Clark!
What a Babe
There was a time when I wanted to dress up as a Storm Trooper for ComicCon.
Dany was all like, “Yeah, I parked my Dragons across the street!”
Such a cute Family!!!!
This guy brings it.
My second Rey of the Day! Love her.
Obviously my Fave.
I should be happy about this.
There were a lot of Negans in this year’s ComicCon and I’m not complaining.
LIAM CUNNINGHAM PHOTO OP
Basically the main reason why I even went to ComicCon to begin with.
My heart was pounding!
Aaaaaaaaah
Two photos! Hee!
I managed to get a one-on-one conversation with him before this photo was taken. I said, “Mr. Cunningham, thank you so much for all the awareness you’re raising for the Refugees. As a fan of a show, it means a lot to watch [it] knowing that someone like you is part of it” and he says, “Thank you so much. There is more to be done”. And he didn’t say it in an arrogant manner! It was more like, “I’m just doing my duty as a decent human being…” WHAT A MAN, THIS MAN.
During his Autograph Signing. Would have loved to get something signed but I was out of funds! Hahahaha!
ANTHONY MACKIE’S COMIC CON PANEL
Here are a couple of videos of Anthony Mackie’s Panel, who was such a trooper even when random kids were so disrespectful to him. He’s funny, and he connects with the crowd and often interacts with them!
ALL THE OTHER FUN STUFF (AND SIGHTINGS)
The Outdoor area for Musicians and other fun activities
I wanted to take this R2-D2 home because it was ACTUALLY TALKING.
I wanted their jacket so bad! Grease is currently playing at the WTC, if you’re in Dubai, you’d might want to check that out!
That wraps up Day 2 of this year’s MEFCC. After leaving the venue, Peeps treated me to Dinner at Wendy’s. NOMNOM. I’m drafting Day 3 and should be up soon. That one’s going to be full of videos, which is exciting because Liam Cunningham is such a joy to listen to.
Thank you for reading this far.
